For researchers interested in interdisciplinary collaborations, it can be challenging to find meaningful starting points for conversations with colleagues from other fields, especially when working on different topics or projects. In this workshop, we will delve into various approaches for initiating research collaborations. As a benefit, you will acquire practical thinking tools for identifying research connections. We will also address some of the typical challenges that can arise when connections are explored or investigated in joint research.
Trainer: Stefan Götze (KIT/KHYS) holds a DPhil in the Social Sciences (Oxford) and did research in interdisciplinary groups at Mannheim and Munich (LMU). Since 2019, he consults and trains scientists and scientific groups at KIT on matters of interdisciplinary collaboration and scientific creativity. His related concepts and measures have been integrated into the working programs of a number of Collaborative Research Centres and Research Training Groups at KIT. His related recommendations have been published in peer-reviewed journals.
Registration: Please register by 25.4.2025 using this form. Once you receive a confirmation with the link to the virtual workshop room, your registration is binding.
